Edward Cooke Family Law raise £2,165 to provide hope for the homeless in Brighton & Hove
18 December 2024
As part of our ongoing commitment to our local communities, this week Edward Cooke Family Law was delighted to donate profits from our inaugural Southern Family Law Conference to local Brighton & Hove charity, Off the Fence.
At the conference in September we welcomed over 100 family law experts to the Sussex County Cricket ground in Hove to explore and discuss key themes in the fast-changing landscape of family law, with the conference title being "hot topics and future trends in family law".
On the day we were pleased to host Reverend Julio Abraham, Chief Executive Officer of Off the Fence (pictured below, along with other speakers), a local Brighton & Hove Charity founded in 1997. Julio delivered a passionate talk about the work of the charity and the challenges facing the homeless community, as well as the link between family breakdown and homelessness.
Due to donations on the day, as well as profits from the conference, we were delighted this week to present the charity with £2,165 to support their fantastic work. Thank you to all our delegates who donated to the charity. We are so grateful to you for your support.
