Taking time out to support local environmental and social impact charity UKHarvest

The Edward Cooke Family Law team donned their aprons and worked together to make a positive difference to our local community last week, by taking part in one of UKHarvest's volunteer sessions.

Making a difference with UKHarvest, Chichester

After a tour of the Donnington headquarters of UKHarvest, seeing how they rescue surplus food, we headed to their on-site kitchen and rolled up our sleeves. Under the guidance of UKHarvest's Kitchen team, Sarah and Sian, we were tasked with baking some tasty sweet treats for the local community hubs to distribute.

Sarah, UKHarvest's Kitchen Manager commented:

"The kitchen was alive with the sounds Edward Cooke Family Law’s fabulous members of staff, last week. We were delighted to welcome the firm of lawyers to the kitchen, where they worked along side Sian and myself to create some delicious, sweet treats to share with the community. It’s always fantastic to have an enthusiastic and quite frankly, hilarious group working with us in the kitchen. The laughter didn’t stop! Engaging organisations like Edward Cooke is so rewarding. We’re able to share what we do at UKHarvest, while enjoying a fabulous day of cooking, learning and laughing.”

Lisa McEvoy, Practice Administrator, who organised the day, said:

“We had such a lovely morning, and it was very interesting to learn about the great work that UKHarvest do. Thank you to the team there for making it so fun and informative.”
